Welcome to the Worthington Field Studies Inc. Home Page.  This site is designed to meet the needs of parents and students participating in a WFSI trip and a way to keep all of our 2000+ alumni up to date on what is happening with the organization.

WFSI is a non-profit 501 3(c) organization that takes students from the Worthington and Westerville school districts to the U.S. Virgin Islands over spring break and to the Pacific Northwest over summer break.  Participants on each trip have unique opportunities to learn science concepts unattainable inside the traditional science classroom.

Spring Trip to the Florida Keys

Students will travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands for 8 full days of adventure.  During our time on the Keys, we will be snorkeling, hiking, visiting historic ruins, wading through tidal pools, learning some of the culture and scuba diving (optional).  Before our departure, there will be a number of meetings at Thomas Worthington High School.  At these meetings, students will learn about corals, marine invertebrates, fish identification, cultural and geologic history, and the topography of the Florida Keys.  For more information, please click on SPRING TRIP or click on the links at the top of the page.
