WFSI Mission Statement
Worthington Field Studies, Incorporated (WFSI) is a non-profit
organization which has been administered since its inception
in 1968 by Worthington science teachers. Over 1600 high school
students have participated in over 54 trips to the Western
United States, Canada, and the Bahamas. The educational
mission of WFSI has six major components for our students.

Stimulating interpersonal growth, teamwork, and
cooperative skills.

Fostering success in school and science classes.

Assisting students in developing their knowledge
about and attitudes towards the natural world, through
intensive immersion in a variety of natural environments.

Appreciating global cultures and historical
perspectives.

Developing the outdoor skills necessary to enjoy
the natural world.

Exploring healthy lifestyles and recreational
pursuits.
