  • What is it and what do we do?

Worthington Field Studies
  • Worthington Field Studies Incorporated (WFSI), is a non-profit organization that has been administered since its inception in 1968 by Worthington science teachers.
  • Over 2000 high school students have participated in 65 trips to the Western United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

The educational mission of WFSI has six major components for our students.

  • Snorkel Gear - Mask, Fins, Snorkel ($60+)
  • SCUBA Diving  (optional) »$500 - includes classes, books, equipment rental, checkout dives, 4 tanks, boat trips and lifetime certification

Scholarships
  • Scholarship Applications - Due November 21st, 2006
  • Last year: students were awarded partial scholarships based upon academic success and financial need

  • Donut Sales - 50% profit - $2.50/dozen
  • Cookie Dough Sales - 35% profit - $3.50/tub
  • Car Wash - profit split among participants

  • Four Teacher Recommendations
  • Students will be notified by December 8th

Parent Meetings
  • Spring Trip - Wednesday, December 13th, 2006
  • Summer Trip - Mid January, 2007
  • Deposits for the trip due at these meetings
